Rigging
My rigging experience ranges from theatrical rigging systems (single-purchase counterweight and sandbag) and aerial/circus rigging. I have received formal rigging training from Brett Copes (Fight or Flight Entertainment), Craig Lewis (Night Owl Circus, San Francisco Circus Center), and John Rourke (Stagecraft Industries).
I am working towards my ETCP Rigging certification. I have interest in both theatrical and arena rigging opportunities.
“Rigging Fairy”.
For the production A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Mt. Hood Community College, I was cast as a “rigging fairy”. This meant I was responsible for ground rigging changes of aerial apparatuses while participating in the fairy ensemble. I also operated the aerial rigging during rehearsals, coordinated with stakeholders (Technical Director, Director, consulting ETCP Certified Rigger, Aerial Choreographer, and Fly Rail/Aerial Rigging Operators) to ensure smooth rigging transitions for the first ever aerial performance in MHCC’s College Theatre. This role required agile responses to rigging challenges while also maintaining character work as part of the fairy ensemble.

Theatrical Rigger.
For the production The Wizard of Oz at Mt. Hood Community College, I was a rigger. In this role, I helped rig scenery to battens, conducted daily safety checks on the show lines, and operated line sets during the show run.
Aerial Rigging Assistant.
For the production Nightfall by Salem Aerial Dance Company, I assisted with rigging transitions during the youth recital. This involved swagging apparatuses out of the way for floor dance numbers, changing out apparatuses that were deadhung during intermission, and ensuring that safety crash mats were in place as needed.
